The cord/plug keeper was inspired by a real-life incident in which my dad, while listening to his iPod while getting out of the car, dropped the earbuds which he'd taken out of the iPod. It was snowing and the chords were white, so after he'd come home and realized he lost them he thought there was no hope of going back and finding the things. We did anyway and miraculously we found them, buried in the freshly fallen snow. 

She was also inspired by another time in which I remembered this epic dead tree that I'd seen a year before on a walk, and I begged my mom to take me there again because I thought it'd make an epic fort. We'd gone there in the winter before, but now in summer I could climb all over the tree. To both my joy and dismay, I realized that I wasn't the first to claim the tree. Someone had built a sort of roof between two branches with dead sticks and such, and had woven them together using old electrical plugs. XD idk why but it was cool
